The horned toad or lizard is a protected species in Texas but they thrive here on the SOS Farms.
We have a good red ant supply which they feed on, up to 200 ants per day. In 1897 a horned lizard was placed in the cornerstone of the Eastland County Courthouse, Eastland Texas in a time capsule along with other memorabilia. 31 years later when the building was torn down, "Old Rip" was alive after a long hibernation and went on tour dying 11 months later.
